Description
Based on one of my earlier 'mandala' designs, this image began life a 'computer-enhanced electron microscope rendering' of a microscopic crustacean found in a sample of tidal-pool seawater.
The eerie colors are part of the original image (Discover magazine 1992-3?). The skull is my interpretation of shapes which appeared when I 'mirrored' a portion of the original image on a Canon color copier when I worked at Kinko's copy center in Columbus, Ohio.

Striking and haunting stuff.
Once I had read your comment, I could see the crustacean, and yet I don't think I would have ever seen it if I hadn't read the comment.
