This is the prototype of my first official set of tools designed specifically for stamping patterns on polymer clay, precious metal clay, or even ceramics.
Named in honor of my DA friend, =ValerianaSolaris (who will also soon be the first to field test the stamps before they go into production), it is a thirty-eight piece smorgasbord of delicate designs.
There are twenty-five individual 'bar' type stamps (2" long by various widths from 1/4" up to 1/2"), twelve 'button' stamps, and a 2" x 3" flat ' push-mold'.
The stamps were machined from 1/2" clear acrylic sheet and the push-mold from 3/16" sheet. The machining was performed on a 3-axis CNC router and took almost three hours to complete. Most likely, the production models will be either cast or injection-molded in order to hold down the cost.
